This community service program aimed to enhance the psychological preparedness of student volunteers in dealing with crisis situations through Psychological First Aid (PFA) training. The psychoeducational program covered the importance of providing early psychological support to individuals experiencing distress due to disasters, conflicts, accidents, loss, and other emergency situations. The materials focused on the basic concepts of PFA, creating a sense of safety, empathetic listening, helping individuals regulate emotional distress, identifying basic needs, and connecting affected individuals with appropriate support resources. The program was implemented through psychoeducation sessions, interactive discussions, case studies, and reflective activities. Participants were student volunteer candidates who were prepared to develop fundamental knowledge and skills in delivering initial psychological support in an appropriate, ethical, and non-judgmental manner. The results indicated that the PFA training improved participants’ understanding of psychological responses in crisis situations and increased their readiness to provide early support to affected individuals. This program serves as a preventive and promotive effort to strengthen community psychological resilience through capacity building among student volunteers.
