Abstract

Community service activities aimed to improve the positive communication skills of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) teachers through seminars and practical mentoring. The program was conducted on November 29, 2025, at Hotel Atria and involved 15 PAUD teachers from various educational institutions. The method employed was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which included the stages of problem identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in a participatory manner. The activities were carried out through interactive seminars, discussions, case studies, simulations, and positive communication practices. The materials covered affirmative language, active listening, verbal and nonverbal communication, emotional validation, and empathetic responses to children's behavior. The results showed an improvement in teachers’ communication skills, making them more interactive, supportive, and child-centered. Teachers also demonstrated enhanced abilities in emotional management, active listening, and creating a warm and safe learning environment. In addition, children’s participation and confidence during learning activities increased. Despite the limited implementation period, the program proved effective in strengthening teachers’ communication competencies and fostering a more positive learning culture in PAUD settings.
